The Whiting Public Library offers a wealth of resources for our patrons.

We have several popular newspapers and magazines available for your reading pleasure.
Access to Inspire an online database devoted to searching for magazine articles on any subject.
A collection of business journals and newsletters with up-to-date information on the financial market.
We have the Indiana Code; West's Annotated Indiana Code; and the United States Code Annotated in order to keep our patrons aware of changes in the law.
Large Print Books and Audiobooks are available.
If a patron is looking for a book we don't have, we can get the item from another library at no cost, just ask at the circulation desk.
Every year we have the IRS booklets available free of charge.
Internet workstations with access to Microsoft's Office Suite can be found on all of our workstations for the public. (Valid Library Card Required - Some Restrictions Apply)
There are two computers dedicated for filing unemployment, job searches and creating resumes.
Every Monday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. a staff member is on hand to assist patrons with filling their unemployment.
A copy machine is available on a self-serve basis at a cost of 10 cents per page.
A fax machine is available for the public. The first page costs $1.50 each additional page costs $1.00. A debit or credit card is needed for all transactions.
A quiet study room is available upon request.
The Library offers access to WiFi service (Wireless Internet) free-of-charge.
