Youth Services Programming

The Youth Services Department presents programs on a variety of topics for a wide range of ages. Often there is an age or grade limit designated for each program. While the topics being presented may be of interest to a younger or older audience than intended, these age or grade limits are based on what would be both developmentally beneficial and socially appropriate to the group in general. Suggestions or recommendations for programs are always welcome.  If a program requires registration please contact the library at 219-659-0269 or stop by the children’s desk to sign up.

Photographing Program Participants

The Library reserves the right to photograph program participants. Photos are for library use and may be used in library publicity materials. Patrons who do not wish to be photographed should notify library staff.

While we understand that there are times when being late cannot be avoided, we ask that attendees do not arrive more than 10 minutes after a program’s start time in order to avoid disruptions to the program and to make sure that your child receives all of the information and instruction that is presented at the beginning of the program.
