Betsey Means will portray pioneer woman Juliette Magill Kinzie at the Whiting Public Library on Saturday, March 28th at 2 pm. Kinzie, a writer and historian, married John Kinzie in 1830, lived in Wisconsin at Fort Winnebago and move to Chicago in 1834. In 1844, she wrote the Narrative of the Massacre at Chicago, an account of the Fort Dearborn massacre which she compiled from firsthand accounts of the Kinzie family.
