In 1942, LT Charles Baugh became a Navy codebreaker while his father, Richmond Baugh, endured 2.5 years in a Japanese POW camp. On Saturday, August 22nd at 2 pm Sue Baugh will be at the Whiting Public Library to recount the suffering of the Philippine people during the Japanese occupation, the heroic work of military and civilian codebreakers, and the brutal combat it took to liberate the Philippine Islands.
