Teen Advisory Board

Do you want to have a voice in making the library a better place for teens? Join the Whiting Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) to help plan programs, meet other teens, and earn service hours!

What are the selection guidelines for TAB?

TAB membership is open to students in grades 7-12 that reside within the 46394 zip code. TAB members are selected based on the strength of their application and a brief interview with the Youth Services Librarian. We do not accept COURT ORDERED service hour requests.

What does TAB do?

All TAB members must work as a team under the guidance of the Youth Services Librarian to create, plan, and implement programs; recommend books, movies, and games; volunteer for programs and projects; and assist in creating an inviting teen environment at the library.
